Ministry of Reconciliation

We see how reconciliation has played a great impact into the gentiles who believe on the name of Jesus Christ. Now, we get to share in the ministry of reconciliation, which is part of our reasonable act of service. God has given the gentiles a gospel through our Apostle Paul which is the Gospel of reconciliation. When we rightly divide the word of God and see that the completed work of Jesus Christ has done all that we need to be able to go out and preach, we can see that the power of salvation is in our preaching this gospel. We sit back and wonder how we can bring people to salvation or we sit and pray for peoples salvation day in and day out. One teacher said that “Praying to God for someone’s salvation is like taking a basketball and passing it to God, God looks at us and says why are you passing this to me, My Son has done the work, sin has been dealt with and the ball is yours to pass to all those around you!!!” We simply have to share “our” gospel and allow God to grant the increase. Reconciliation is not only the way we came to God, it’s also our mission to spread in the power of the Holy Spirit!!! Now will you preach it, are you unashamed??? Have a wonderful life of reconciliation on purpose!!!!!

2 Corinthians 5

Assurance of the Resurrection
1 For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven, 3 if indeed, having been clothed, we shall not be found naked. 4 For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life. 5 Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.6 So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. 7 For we walk by faith, not by sight. 8 We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.
The Judgment Seat of Christ
9 Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. 11 Knowing, therefore, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are well known to God, and I also trust are well known in your consciences.
Be Reconciled to God
12 For we do not commend ourselves again to you, but give you opportunity to boast on our behalf, that you may have an answer for those who boast in appearance and not in heart. 13 For if we are beside ourselves, it is for God; or if we are of sound mind, it is for you. 14 For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; 15 and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again. 16 Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. 21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

From Rags to Riches!!!

We as gentiles in this age of Grace should be overwhelmed when we think of the love it took for Jesus Christ to die for our sins in order that we may be reconciled to the one and true, Holy God. We have been given such a gift as to not only have been forgiven of our sins and saved from the penalty of death (which is more than enough) but also we are now joint heirs with the Son and all His slender. We have to understand that we were from the same line of gentiles that were in Sodom and Gomorrah, men rapping men, women given to themselves, every evil desire played out in the street and a community where not even 10 people could be found righteous to fend off God’s wrath. Gentiles never had the right to worship this Great and Awesome God and we today have the privilege to do so by just believing on the champion of our faith Jesus Christ. We can now be a light to the world and even unto the chosen children of God, by being an example to them in the way to live out a righteous life, simply by allowing God to do it through us by using the Holy Spirit. Our reconciliation to God was the greatest move ever made in history, talking about 180 degrees, which was His plan all along. Jesus told the gentile lady that it was not fit for dogs to eat food meant for the children (Matthew 15:26). We are those dogs!!! We were those dogs!!! Now we are princes and princesses to the Most High King!!! There is no greater story of “Rags to Riches”!!! Now, are you walking out this life as a prince or a princess, or are you still walking around in rags??? Let the Lord command your Life and walk in the purity of your reconciliation and calling!!!! Have a wonderful life of reconciliation on purpose!!!!!

Matthew 10

Jesus Sends Out the Twelve
1He called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out evil[a] spirits and to heal every disease and sickness.
2These are the names of the twelve apostles: first, Simon (who is called Peter) and his brother Andrew; James son of Zebedee, and his brother John; 3Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus; 4Simon the Zealot and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him.
5These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: "Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans. 6Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel. 7As you go, preach this message: 'The kingdom of heaven is near.' 8Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy,[b]drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. 9Do not take along any gold or silver or copper in your belts; 10take no bag for the journey, or extra tunic, or sandals or a staff; for the worker is worth his keep.

Romans 1

1Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God— 2the gospel he promised beforehand through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures 3regarding his Son, who as to his human nature was a descendant of David, 4and who through the Spirit[a] of holiness was declared with power to be the Son of God[b] by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord. 5Through him and for his name's sake, we received grace and apostleship to call people from among all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith. 6And you also are among those who are called to belong to Jesus Christ.

Romans 3

Righteousness Through Faith
21But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, 23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 25God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement,[i] through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— 26he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.
27Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. On what principle? On that of observing the law? No, but on that of faith. 28For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from observing the law. 29Is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too, 30since there is only one God, who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through that same faith. 31Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law.

Unity Through Reconciliation

Reconciliation is a hard habit to execute in one’s life especially if you have had a repeat offender, or is it?? The word of God charges the mature brother in any matter to go seek reconciliation from your weaker brother no matter whether you are the offender or not because reconciliation can only be sought after forgiveness has taken place. God loved us enough and already had a heart to forgive us before Christ laid Himself on that cross. If God didn’t want to forgive us He would have never sent His Son. The brother that is mature understands that forgiveness comes through understanding and that no matter what the infraction, we all deserve forgiveness, especially in the body of Christ. We above all should be examples for all the world to see how one can forgive another and be reconciled in love. The world doesn’t have the wisdom that the children of God have, because they do not have the Holy Spirit to teach and admonition and bring truth that they may meditate on daily. The number one reason why people cannot forgive one another is because they cannot answer the question, “why?” We have scripture that tells us why certain trails take place and why people act the way they do. We are given the gift of discernment through knowing the word of God and can know not only what the person did but also the motives behind the actions and the controlling spirits on the person. There is no reason why a saint in the body of Christ should walk around with un-forgiveness in their heart, unless they are babes and have just come into the faith!!! We are the example to the rest of the world and we have to be the salt and light in the midst of the darkness. Be reconciled this day to all and walk in love with all those around you for this is part of your reasonable act of service!!!

Ephesians 4

Unity in the Body of Christ

1As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. 2Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when you were called— 5one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
7But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. 8This is why it[a] says: "When he ascended on high, he led captives in his train and gave gifts to men."[b] 9(What does "he ascended" mean except that he also descended to the lower, earthly regions[c]? 10He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens, in order to fill the whole universe.) 11It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, 12to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
14Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. 15Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. 16From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.
Living as Children of Light
17So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. 18They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts. 19Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, with a continual lust for more.
20You, however, did not come to know Christ that way. 21Surely you heard of him and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus. 22You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
25Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his neighbor, for we are all members of one body. 26"In your anger do not sin"[d]: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27and do not give the devil a foothold. 28He who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with his own hands, that he may have something to share with those in need.
29Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. 30And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

We Have Been Reconciled

Reconciliation has come to us all through the life of Jesus Christ who made himself to be sin for our sakes and died on the cross to pay a ransom for our sins. We have the privilege of resting in His completed work which God was well pleased. Jesus Christ tore the vial that was between us and God because of our sin nature. Now we are able to fellowship daily with our Lord and Savior and have a full and righteous relationship with God. We actually get to experience God and His perfect will daily and we get to be taught and chastened through His Holy Spirit who keeps us on the path that God has set for our lives. All we had to do to receive this blessed relationship was to believe on the completed work of Jesus Christ and the fact that we have been reconciled to God. Many men cannot take this message simply because they believe that man is inherently good and not naturally evil. They believe they can work out their salvation by doing “good” works and living a “good” life. We see through God’s word that there is no way man can live on his own and fulfill the law of righteousness. Today, enjoy your relationship with the Father, spend time and sup with Him at His table!!! You have been reconciled to His Glorious Family, walk in it!!! Have a wonderful life of reconciliation on purpose!!!!!

Romans 5


Peace and Joy
1Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we[a]have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we[b] rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. 3Not only so, but we[c] also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.
6You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. 8But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
9Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him! 10For if, when we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! 11Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

Turst In Christ

Trusting in the Word of God affords us the privilege of not having to trust in ourselves any longer. Man puts so much confidence in their abilities and knowledge that when they see that they are flawed they are left in a hopeless state, that some can never make it out of. We as being part of the body truly should understand that man is evil and all his ways are as such. When hopefully all of us believed on Jesus Christ and His completed work on the cross we did so in the knowledge that we could no longer live this life in our own strength. We all made the mistake and came into the belief that we could serve God in our own strength or hold to God’s standard in our own strength and soon found out that the same source that brought us salvation would have to be the same source to work out our salvation. There is nothing we can do separate of Christ Jesus in our own flesh that would bring God glory!!! God needing us to do something for Him is like us needing an infant to drive us to the store or pay our bills. God’s love for us is so free from seduction, necessity, guilt, or show that clearly most men cannot accept it and that’s why they deny it. We have a hope and understanding that we are hooked up to a power supply through the Holy Spirit which is greater than ourselves and in that we can humbly give God the Glory for everything that comes from the these temples. Trust in God’s word and understand your confidence is in Christ alone and His completed work as Lord and Savior and press towards the mark as a free bond servant in Christ!!! Have a wonderful life of trusting on purpose!!!!!


Philippians 3

No Confidence in the Flesh
1Finally, my brothers, rejoice in the Lord! It is no trouble for me to write the same things to you again, and it is a safeguard for you.
2Watch out for those dogs, those men who do evil, those mutilators of the flesh. 3For it is we who are the circumcision, we who worship by the Spirit of God, who glory in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh— 4though I myself have reasons for such confidence. If anyone else thinks he has reasons to put confidence in the flesh, I have more: 5circumcised on the eighth day, of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; in regard to the law, a Pharisee; 6as for zeal, persecuting the church; as for legalistic righteousness, faultless.
7But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. 8What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ 9and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith. 10I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, 11and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.

Trusting in the Armor

Trusting in the Word of God brings us all confidence and reassurance in the warfare we fight daily. We are called to stand against the enemy in the battles as he uses his different weapons of temptation, condemnation, and fiery darts to try and take our focus off of Christ Jesus and the mission He has laid before us which is the preach the Gospel rightly divided to all nations. When we understand that the warfare is not in the flesh and that we are free in Christ Jesus we learn how to choose not be offended by ones actions and learn to warfare against the spirit that is on that person. Trusting in God’s word gives us the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God, which is the only weapon that can be used to destroy the lies of the enemy. As we read and lock away scripture in our hearts and meditate on them daily we start to apply what we have learned and we are then able to see the power of His word living in us and through us which continues to fuel the trust in His word and the faith we have in Jesus Christ. Put on the Full Armor today lacking nothing and stand against all the ways of the evil one!!! Encourage your brother that is kneeling beside you to get back up and stand and let him know that you have his back in the battle!!! Have a wonderful life of trusting on purpose!!!!!


Ephesians 6

The Whole Armor of God
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,[c] against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— 19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

God's Peace through Trusting

Trusting in the Word of God also allows you to experience His wonderful peace. The world around us cannot understand how they can go through the same thing you are going through yet you have this peace that calms you and allows you to move through the situation with well rested nights and encouragement to others. That peace stems from trusting in a source greater than yourself while the person of the world knows that they cannot see how to get through today. That is the testimony in the earth that God uses to draw others to Him. The world wants what we have, if we are truly showing the world what we have. We laid down our lives which included trusting in our abilities and ways of dealing with life and all the many trails. Now we rest in Christ Jesus and His completed work on the cross. If you are going through today and you are not experiencing God’s peace, are you trusting His word??? Are you allowing others to see that peace walked out with Thanksgiving and Humility. Remember we all have a beautiful life that is to be lived out before men to help bring them into a relationship with our Father, but that can only happen if we are experiencing our Father’s Joy and Peace each day by fellowshipping and trusting in Him and His marvelous word, rightly divided!!! Have a wonderful life of trusting on purpose!!!!!

Philippians 4

1Therefore, my brothers, you whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, that is how you should stand firm in the Lord, dear friends!
Exhortations
2I plead with Euodia and I plead with Syntyche to agree with each other in the Lord. 3Yes, and I ask you, loyal yokefellow,[a] help these women who have contended at my side in the cause of the gospel, along with Clement and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life.

Reading + Believing God's Word = Trust

When we think about trust we think about the promises made to us by an external party. In order for us to know the promises of God we have to be diligent to read his word. If we do not read, we can never truly trust God in our lives. This is so important because Joy is not an emotion it is a state of mind. So when we hear how a saint says they have joy even though they might have cancer or while they are going through one of the toughest trails of their lives, we may look at them crazy because we know they cannot be happy because of their situations. You are right they are not happy which is based on emotionally stimuli through an external source. They are Praising God in the midst of their circumstance because they know that God’s word is eternal and His character doesn’t change!!! The promises He promised His children are true yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Joy comes from trusting God’s word and His perfect will!!! Today read and believe, trust in the God that never changes and Loves you with an unchanging and unmovable Love!!! Have a wonderful day of trusting on purpose!!!!!

Romans 15

1We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves. 2Each of us should please his neighbor for his good, to build him up. 3For even Christ did not please himself but, as it is written: "The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me."[a] 4For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.
5May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, 6so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
7Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God. 8For I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the Jews[b]on behalf of God's truth, to confirm the promises made to the patriarchs 9so that the Gentiles may glorify God for his mercy, as it is written: "Therefore I will praise you among the Gentiles; I will sing hymns to your name."[c] 10Again, it says, "Rejoice, O Gentiles, with his people."[d] 11And again, "Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles, and sing praises to him, all you peoples."[e] 12And again, Isaiah says, "The Root of Jesse will spring up, one who will arise to rule over the nations; the Gentiles will hope in him."[f]
13May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Living in the Standard

Our King and High Priest Jesus Christ set a mark for each one of His brothers and sisters to follow. That standard was not to live a sin free life and if we do not, we do not get into heaven. It was to live a life of love for all family, friends, strangers, enemies, essentially all those in our proximity. We are to love our neighbors with the love and forgiveness that Christ loved us with. Living this life cannot be managed on our own this is why we were afforded the privilege of having the Holy Spirit guide and teach us. We just have to submit to the Father's will and allow Him to train us how to respond to every situation. We learn how to respond in every situation by the renewing our minds daily through reading the word of God and rightly dividing it. Through the renewing of our minds we learn how to change our perspectives and put off the ways we use to justify lashing out or defending ourselves when external stimuli brought us stress. Live this life free with the Godly perspective He is forming in you and walk in the newness of loving your neighbor as yourself!!!

Life with A Safety Net

Our safety net is our salvation in Christ, this net allows us to have a steadfast confidence in knowing that when our temples take the last breath that we all will be caught up with our Savior and King Jesus Christ in the fullness of His image. That being said, what are we afraid of????????? Should we fear what others will say about us and our peculiar ways, should we keep our lifestyle a secret because it offends others, should we lower the standard of our characters so that other will feel more comfortable around us. We have no excuse in not living to the fullest, WE HAVE NO FEAR, because Christ’s Love has cast it out of us. All man can do is eliminate this temple and glory be to God, We will be present with the Father and our deaths will bring Him glory. Run your race in the confidence of the Gospel and know that all of the promises we have in Christ, has already been completed!!!!! BE FREE, LIVE HARD, LOVE ALL!!!!

Romans 8:28-39

More Than Conquerors
28And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,[j] who[k] have been called according to his purpose. 29For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.
31What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36As it is written: "For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered."[l] 37No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[m] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

A Life of Focus

As saints in the body of Christ we have the privilege of living a life that is meaningful and rewarding because of our ability to live out the life that we were created for. We have made the hardest decision of our lives and passed the test when we decided to accept the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Now we know that Satan can never stop us from entering into the gates of heaven and having an eternity of peace and joy serving the Father!!! Satan on the other hand can hinder us from living out our purpose which is to be a witness in the earth of God’s beautiful love and grace through the Redemptive act laid on the cross from His son Jesus Christ and how we now bare the Light of Christ in our lives through the holy spirit. He does this by placing things in your life that brings fear and we get so over whelmed that we stop living in our purpose and we become paralyzed by the fear. If we continue to trust in God our eyes should only focus on Christ !!! All other things will be taken care of when you trust in Him and His Word. Whatever fear you are experiencing today, cast it away and lay it up on the cross, fix your eyes back on our Savior Jesus Christ and Live!!!!!!

Hebrews 2
Warning to Pay Attention
1We must pay more careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away. 2For if the message spoken by angels was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment, 3how shall we escape if we ignore such a great salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him. 4God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.
Jesus Made Like His Brothers
5It is not to angels that he has subjected the world to come, about which we are speaking. 6But there is a place where someone has testified: "What is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him? 7You made him a little[a] lower than the angels; you crowned him with glory and honor 8 and put everything under his feet." [b]
In putting everything under him, God left nothing that is not subject to him. Yet at present we do not see everything subject to him. 9But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.
10In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the author of their salvation perfect through suffering. 11Both the one who makes men holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers. 12He says, "I will declare your name to my brothers; in the presence of the congregation I will sing your praises."[c] 13And again, "I will put my trust in him."[d] And again he says, "Here am I, and the children God has given me."[e]
14Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil— 15and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. 16For surely it is not angels he helps, but Abraham's descendants. 17For this reason he had to be made like his brothers in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for[f]the sins of the people. 18Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.

Temptations and Bondage

As we run today in full stride, making sure our arms are pumping and our breaths are steady, let us focus on another factor that hinders us from living out the fullness of what we have received by grace in Christ. Today we shall look at how the enemy uses temptations and bondage of sin to keep us trapped and focused so much on ourselves that we don’t respond to the “God Movements”. As we all know, we all have sinful natures because of the fall of Adam, God knows it, Jesus knows it, Satan knows it, and so do all the saints. By God’s grace and Jesus merciful act on the cross we have been redeemed and are new creatures. Our works have nothing to do with our salvation and we have been set free from the penalty of death and the law of sin once and for all. Now we also know that after our salvation our sin nature just didn’t melt away. We still struggle that nature daily and Satan does all he can to keep us frustrated and bound by that nature. Once again Satan knows he can’t stop you from getting into heaven, now all he wants to stop is the spreading of the gospel of grace and the peace and love by defaming the name of Jesus Christ by pulling down the vessels Christ uses. God knows exactly who you are and loves you more than you will ever know. When we see ourselves as God sees us and that is in Christ, there is nothing that can keep us chain and bound!!! Today we must have the attitude that I am no longer bound, I have been set free for freedom’s sake in Christ Jesus. There is no more condemnation upon me and all I have to do is to be a vessel for the Most High King!!! We have to shed the grave cloths and put on our Royal Robes!!! Have a wonderful week of living on purposeJ!!!!!

Romans 8
Life Through the Spirit
1Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,[a] 2because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death. 3For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature,[b] God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering.[c] And so he condemned sin in sinful man,[d] 4in order that the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the Spirit.
5Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. 6The mind of sinful man[e] is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; 7the sinful mind[f] is hostile to God. It does not submit to God's law, nor can it do so. 8Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God.
9You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. 10But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness. 11And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.
12Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation—but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it. 13For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, 14because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. 15For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship.[g] And by him we cry, "Abba,[h] Father." 16The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. 17Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

Living Free to do Warfare!!!

Our purpose in life is to bring God glory through our relationship with Him being guided by the Holy Spirit. We in the body of Christ are called to live a life that is free from any bondage and we are called to set others free as we live this life. We are called to make war against the enemy and to free as many slaves in this world as possible. If we remember that we war not with flesh and blood but with principalities and powers, we can have the mind set to understand that each day we are in battles for the movement of the Kingdom. We get so frustrated with our days when things are going this way or that and it is quite understandable, but if we remember that my mind should be focused on heavenly places and the war that is taking place, maybe I should ask am I just having a bad day or is the enemy shooting fiery darts all around me to keep me focused on the fires and not on my goal of setting captives free by my life of peace, patients and understanding. When we are not on the front line actually ministering to someone personally our lives should minister through our speech and interactions with EVERYONE!!! The grocery store clerk who was short with you still needs to see Christ, the person who just took your seat on the metro still needs to see Christ, your wife or husband who just yelled at you still needs to see Christ. Let no mistake about it, the warfare is everywhere and all the time. All you have to do is live and listen to the Holy Spirit, be free, and allow him to guide you and use your vessel when every He wants. You are an agent of Christ, light is not affected by darkness, darkness can only win in the absence of light. Stop taking things personally and understand that the battle is not yours, it is the Lord!!!!

Ephesians 6
Children and Parents
1Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2"Honor your father and mother"—which is the first commandment with a promise— 3"that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth."[a] 4Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.
Slaves and Masters
5Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ. 6Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but like slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart. 7Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men, 8because you know that the Lord will reward everyone for whatever good he does, whether he is slave or free.
9And masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Do not threaten them, since you know that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no favoritism with him.
The Armor of God
10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
19Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.
