The Fullness of Joy Volume 1, Issue 1

In the golden psalm below, David gives us the secret to obtaining joy!!! We see that joy comes from God and being in His presence is the fullness of joy. The world will never understand what joy is because they have not connected to the source of joy. They are ever seeking yet will never find it. Joy is not an emotion, as David said he placed his trust in the Lord, joy comes from an unmovable belief which we call "faith" today. As we go through our process of sanctification our faith is perfected through our perseverance. "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything", (James 1: 2-4). The more we go through life's trials, the more we see God's hand of protection, grace, mercy, and love upon us. Once sealed by the Holy Spirit the testing and temptations will come, after the testing we will be strengthened by His presence, the more we see His Presence the greater our faith grows in Him, the more our faith grows, the deeper our joy grows. That which was just described is the unbroken circle which Jesus told us would be the covenant towards man from the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit upon receiving Christ as Lord and Savior. Walking in the presence of our Father is the only way to find Joy, He is the only source. Works will not bring it!!! Many are told the more works you produce the greater the Lord will be pleased with you, this is false by motive. God is pleased with a child who is obedient in following His Will and working when He instructs His vessel to work, but that is a fruit, not the motive. God wishes to have relationship with you through the completed work of His Son. His pleasure in you comes from seeing His Son in you. He wants to conform you more and more to His Son through the process of sanctification. The Greatest pleasure the Father receives from His children, is the child that wishes to sit in His presence and have the Father's Perfect Will poured out onto them. By sitting in His presence we get to experience the Fullness of Joy!!! Today, spend time with the Father and seek to sit and dwell in His Presence!!! Be Encouraged!!! Have a wonderful life of experiencing the fullness of joy on purpose!!!!!

Psalm 16

A Michtam of David.

1 Preserve me, O God, for in You I put my trust.

2 O my soul, you have said to the LORD,
“You are my Lord,
My goodness is nothing apart from You.”
3 As for the saints who are on the earth,
“They are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight.”

4 Their sorrows shall be multiplied who hasten after another god;
Their drink offerings of blood I will not offer,
Nor take up their names on my lips.

5 O LORD, You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup;
You maintain my lot.
6 The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places;
Yes, I have a good inheritance.

7 I will bless the LORD who has given me counsel;
My heart also instructs me in the night seasons.
8 I have set the LORD always before me;
Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.

9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices;
My flesh also will rest in hope.
10 For You will not leave my soul in Sheol,
Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.
11 You will show me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
