Let's look at the three ways that Satan keeps us bond to the hamster wheel of life. It started with him long time ago as an angel gifted as the beautiful sound of music, (Ezekiel 28:11-19). He learned that angels were subjected to mood changes based on his gifting. That is why still today music plays such an impact into our lives, the way it affects our moods, and this gift was never taken away from him. In that time, iniquity was found in him because of three things, he saw the praise God received from His creations and he was jealous. He coveted the glory that God received. Based of his gift he believed that he was worthy of that glory. The sin that manifested in Lucifer was the lust of his eyes, the lust of his flesh, and the pride of life. 1 John 2:16-17 "For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. 17 The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever." When Jesus Christ was tested he was tested in these three areas:
Luke 4
Jesus Is Tested in the Wilderness
1 Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, 2 where for forty days he was tempted[a] by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry.
3 The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread.” (Lust of the Flesh)
4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone.’[b]”
5 The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. 6 And he said to him, “I will give you all their authority and splendor; it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to. 7 If you worship me, it will all be yours.” (Lust of the Eye)
8 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.’[c]”
9 The devil led him to Jerusalem and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down from here. 10 For it is written:
“‘He will command his angels concerning you
to guard you carefully;
11 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’[d]” (Pride of life)
12 Jesus answered, “It is said: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’[e]”
Satan knows that if he keeps us tempted through our eyes, flesh, and pride he will keep us from living a life of freedom in Christ. Make no mistake, Satan knows you better than you know yourself and your tests and temptations are specifically for you. These are the tools he uses, these are the weapons of warfare that is raged on every single human being. The only way to defeat Satan during these times of temptation is through the same tool the Jesus Christ used and that is the Word of God!!! Many humans are dying to live because their life is filled with pursuits that never satisfy. God tells us in, 2 Corinthians 13 "Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified. 6 But I trust that you will know that we are not disqualified." Today look at the areas of your life and test to see if your pursuits are based off the lust of your eye, the lust of your flesh, or the pride of life. If any are, turn immediately and repent, use the scriptures to clear the trappings of the enemy and focus back on the good and pleasing Will of our Heavenly Father!!! Be Encouraged!!! Have a wonderful life of dying so that others may live on purpose!!!!!
2 Corinthians 5
Awaiting the New Body
1 For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands. 2 Meanwhile we groan, longing to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling, 3 because when we are clothed, we will not be found naked. 4 For while we are in this tent, we groan and are burdened, because we do not wish to be unclothed but to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. 5 Now the one who has fashioned us for this very purpose is God, who has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.
6 Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. 7 For we live by faith, not by sight. 8 We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. 9 So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the bod
